guidelines

All rules are to be followed. Any broken rules could result in being expelled and banned from the round or fest. The final word belongs to the Mods.• All works must include Chanyeol as the main character or part of the main ship.• All works must be original. Plagiarism would be met with being denied-listed from the Fest.• Anonymity is required! All authors for works will be revealed during our reveal period unless asked otherwise. Art postings will not be anonymous due to concerns with art theft.• Your work can now be a stand-alone, a prequel or a sequel to another work. However, we will not be accepting a prequel or a sequel of another work that was submitted to another fest. If you choose to write the continuation or the beginnings of another work, your submission must be coherent enough that it could be considered as a stand-alone.• Chanyeol x OC is not accepted, but he can be shipped with any other idol. All works that name or feature Kris Wu or Lucas Wong as main characters/part of the main ship will be asked to change.• For every check-in, we will be requiring a WIP of your work along with the form (not applicable for artists). This won’t be a quality check, so don’t worry about spelling mistakes or narrative incompletion. We just want to make sure you are prepared for the check-in!• Your work MUST be tagged correctly, even if it leads to spoilers.• Non-con/dub-con, incest, pedophilia, and bestiality are strictly prohibited. If there are elements of these that are crucial to your fic, they must not be written explicitly.• We ask that you only claim one prompt at a time. When you have finished your first work, you can claim another prompt. There is no maximum of prompts you can claim.• Self-prompting will be open along with claiming. Artists are also free to self-prompt.• Our minimum word count is 2.5k. Good luck!• Don’t worry about not being able to join this round or finish your work. We want you to prioritize school, work, health, family, and anything else! We will be doing adoptions after the round is over.

faq

Account1. If we don’t have a Twitter account, can we still claim?
Yes, you can still claim as an author. You may use your email as an alternate source of contact if you do not have a Twitter account. However, artists must have a Twitter account.
2. Do we need an AO3 account to participate in the fest?
Authors participating in the fest are required to have an AO3 account and post their works to the collection for the round.

Beta Reading
1. What is a beta reader and what do they do?
A beta reader is a test reader of an unreleased work of literature who gives feedback from the point of view of an average reader to the author. The feedback can be used by the writer to fix the remaining issues with plot, pacing, and consistency. The beta reader also serves as a sounding board to see if the story has the intended intellectual and/or emotional impact on the target audience.
If you are interested in being a beta reader, fill in the form which you can find in Our Story section.2. Will you help us find beta/beta readers?
Yes! We have decided to extend our assistance to help writers participating in the fest find their beta. DM us for further arrangements to set you up with your own beta reader.

Characters
1. Do I have to write from Chanyeol’s perspective only?
No. You may write your stories from other characters’ perspectives as long as Chanyeol plays the leading role in the story.
2. Can I write Chanyeol with other idols that are not in EXO?
Yes. As this is a Chanyeol fest, we also include Chanyeol pairings outside of EXO. However, please refer to the rules to check the list of idols that are not allowed to be included in your story or art.
3. Can I include other idols that are not in EXO in my story?
Yes, you can. Please refer to the rules to check the list of idols that are not allowed to be included in your story or art.

Check-in
1. How does check-in work?
There will be monthly check-ins; for each check-in, we will email writers and ask them to update us on their progress. This is also a good time to let us know if you need a deadline extension or if you are facing any issues that we may be of assistance with.
2. Is there any word count minimum that we need to reach during each check-in?
There is no word count minimum for check-ins. The word count minimum of the fest is 2.5k.

Claiming
1. Do I have to pick three prompts when I claim?
Yes. Though we do our best, we cannot guarantee that every participant will be able to claim their first choice of prompt, thus we ask you to choose three.
2. I make an error in my claiming form. What should I do?
Please contact us through Twitter DM or email and we will assist you.
3. How will we be informed if we have successfully claimed our prompt?
We will send you an email that will detail the prompt code, the prompt summary, pairings and maximum rating that you have successfully claimed. Please reply to us once you have received the email.
4. If I want to claim my second prompt, what should I do?
To claim another prompt, you must first complete the story or artwork that you have worked on for your first prompt. Inform us of your completion through an email or Twitter DM first, and we will assist you with your second claim.

Prompting
1. Can I submit prompts that I have submitted in other fests?
Yes, but only after informing the mods of the other fests and receiving their permission.
2. Can I submit prompts that I posted on my timeline a long time ago and never wrote further?
Yes, you can.
3. I saw on the rules that a prompt will be removed if it is too detailed. Will the prompter be notified of the removal?
We will reach out to the prompter to discuss what can be done before the removal.

Submission
1. How do I submit my work once it is done?
We will open a collection after the round starts, and we will inform everyone through Twitter and provide writers with the link to submit their work to the collection. As for artists, we will personally reach out to DM to discuss the posting schedules.
2. I have written more than 10k but I’m only halfway done. Can I still submit it when the deadline arrives and finishes the fic after that?
Yes, you may. We encourage submitting completed works to our collection. However, we understand that stories can grow and the time given can start to feel constraining. Please reach out to us regarding this matter when the deadline is near. Once the reveal for the round ends, you may start working on it again.

prompting guides

• All prompts must be Chanyeol-focused. We welcome all pairings that revolved around Park Chanyeol, excluding OC x Chanyeol.• You cannot use/copy/steal a prompt from someone else or another fest. An exception can be made if the said fest has been inactive for over a year or you have received permission from the moderators.• Incest, pedophilia, non-con, bestiality and dub-con are not allowed. We will also be rejecting prompts involving problematic figures, i.e., Kris and Lucas.• The fest’s age of consent is 18. All topics that fit under AO3 warnings or are generally accepted as triggering must be stated in the prompting form.• One prompt per form. You may send in prompts as many times as you wish!• Participants can also self-prompt. However, we will only open the self-prompting form after the general prompting period.

a guide for artists

• Artists will submit a prompt-based piece of visual art and post it on their own Twitter account with the necessary description. We will Quote Tweet your art into our posting thread.• Watermarking is highly encouraged. Art postings will not be anonymous due to concerns with art theft.• Your piece can be anything, from portraits to comic strips. Currently, we will not be accepting fan edits in the form of an image or video.• In case your artwork is not digital, a high-quality scan or image of your work is mandatory.
